Day 1Moab+

Arrive in the desert. An easy spin along the Colorado River corridor to get the altitude and the light into your legs, then a welcome dinner.

Day 2The river road+

Highway 128 along the Colorado, red walls on both sides, the road bending with the water. One of the great rides in the American West.

Day 3Arches on foot+

Bikes rested. Walk to Delicate Arch, then the Devils Garden trail out to Landscape Arch and back through the fins.

Day 4Dead Horse Point+

Climb to the mesa rim for the view two thousand feet down onto a gooseneck in the river. Sunset up top before the descent.

Day 5Canyonlands, Island in the Sky+

The scenic drive out along the mesa with canyon on both sides, then Grand View Point at the end of it.

Day 6Slickrock and needles+

A morning on slickrock for those who want it, an easier canyon spin for those who don't. Dark-sky viewing after dinner in a certified reserve.
